A package of fun goodies to beat a cold.

Yesterday did not start out well. I had gone all winter without the slightest sniffle, and after a string of beautiful sunny days in the 70's, with a sigh of relief, I knew that winter was finally over. So I really was not pleased to awake with a full fledged cold ..... sore throat and runny nose. Nope, I was not a happy camper. Being self-employed I unfortunately can not call out sick as my employees were waiting for me. I diligently trudged through the morning's business at hand and then left to go check my mail at home...... and there it was........... a package of good cheer, my giveaway prize from April @Adventures with the Abramyans. Receiving that package was the best and tastiest medicine I could have had. I eagerly tore off the wrapping and began to pull out all my goodies. I was giddy with delight (or maybe it was the cold medicine kicking in).

First there was a lovely card from April congratulating me along with an adorable I Love Lucy Apron and a Rich Red Velvet Cupcake mix. How did she know that Red Velvet was my favorite cake, and this just wasn't Red Velvet it was Rich Red Velvet? I was in heaven and feeling better by the moment. Just picture my gumdrop red roses perched atop these cupcakes. Yum Yum.

Next were these pretty little photo albums and box of jasmine soap. The fragrance is lovely as is the little butterflies with a bit of bling on the top. Really the soap was two gifts in one, what was inside the box and the pretty box itself.

My most favorite piece was the gorgeous necklace. I just love the naturalness from the stone piece to the bright punch of red, it is absolutely fabulous. I am wearing it as I speak. Sure I had to press the perfect shirt, to make the perfect outfit, to wear today, to match this perfect necklace, but it was worth getting out the ironing board. (Yes that is a rare occurrence for me, that is why I buy tumble dry only.)

I wanted to share with everyone a BIG THANK YOU to April
at Adventures with the Abramyans. Please be sure to visit her blog and meet her delightful family. I love the motto displayed on her blog banner, "No matter how long the winter, Spring is sure to follow" Positive thinking. A good thought to live by ...... I am feeling better all ready. Thank you April.

One last reminder about my giveaway. It ends tomorrow and a winner will be chosen at 5:00 p.m. EST. (I had recently moved the date up to the 10th.) Anyone who is a follower automatically gets a chance, if you left a comment on the giveaway post, you get a second chance, and a third chance for posting the giveaway on your blog. Thank you to all that entered. It was fun. I have added a few more things to the giveaway including a dozen yo-yo's all pink of course. Good luck to all who enter.

Have a great day.
